St. Paul UMC Downtown
150th Church Anniversary
The members of St. Paul United Methodist Church are excited to celebrate a significant milestone - our 150th church anniversary. Our theme to commemorate this momentous occasion is "From Generation to Generation: One Fifty by Faith" that magnifies the rich legacy that has transcended and evolved throughout the generations since the church founding in the year 1873.
Events have been planned to celebrate and the St. Paul family invites you to celebrate with us. Event details are below for each event.
To help mark this historic occasion as well as support our ongoing community ministries, we also extend to you an invitation to support as a sponsor. Proceeds will benefit educational initiatives, assistance for our unsheltered neighbors, support for children of incarcerated parents, and necessary facility upgrades.
Support ministries that connect with an open heart, serve with willing hands, and go with ready feet.
Serving the Unsheltered
The Body and Soul ministry serves the unsheltered hot meals on the weekends at St. Paul. Additional services include referrals to organizations that provide housing, employment, substance abuse and mental health counseling.
Connecting with youth
Walk Over Wednesdays is a ministry to support the students at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts. All students are invited to "walk over" every Wednesday after school to St. Paul for a free delicious snack.
Supporting Children
The Angel Tree ministry provides support for children of incarcerated parents. Children provide their Christmas wish list and members fulfill those wishes with gifts to bring holiday joy, love and support.
